India government External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar in The Passport Seva Program (PSP) announced an upgraded version, PSP V2.0, this upgrade is to ensure a digital ecosystem among all stakeholders and offer enhanced passport services to citizens.
The Ministry of external Affairs S Jaishankar also conveyed to avoid identity theft against citizens' passports as many cases have happened. Now, the Indian government is working to release e-passports that would ease international travel and enable protection against identity theft.
'The upgraded system would guarantee smooth start to finish administration through normalized and changed processes. Utilize the most recent arising innovations like man-made brainpower, chat bot, enormous information, progressed investigation and so on.``
Additionally, The Ministry is also working to upgrade e-passports for Indian citizens. It will make international travel easier and enable protection against identity theft and greater data security. Besides that the Passport Seva System had been integrated with the DigiLocker system to facilitate a paperless documentation process.
